Incognito – Hidden in the Middle of Barcelona

Barcelona Incognito Bar Sign Post

As its name indicates, Incognito is a relatively little known cocktail bar, despite being right in the middle of the city, and bang on El Born. In fact, it’s right behind the El Born Market, in the same block as La Paradeta and Big Fish, and a few meters away from Sikkim and s’eating. This means that it can be the ideal place to have pre-dinner cocktails as well as an after-dinner glass of brandy.

The strong points of the place: fantastic cocktails and a perfectly central yet hidden location… so far at least!

The bar is owned by a couple of foreigners, something that ensures from time to time the broadcasting of some sports events in their main room’s flat screen. Behind this room, though, there is a smaller one with a couple of sofas and a low table, perfect if you want to keep your small group separate from the main event.

As I’ve already mentioned, their cocktails are fantastic, as well as being at an unbeatable price: there’s a happy hour Tuesday to Saturday until 10 pm: 4€ a cocktail. They have also a small selection of finger food dishes if you want to help your body hold down your drinks -sometimes, there are so many peanuts you can eat. Chose among their dishes of nachos, quesadillas, hummus or sautéed prawns.

In summary, enjoy a couple of mojitos, cosmopolitans, or white russians (my favourites) in one of the best cocktail bars in Barcelona’s city centre.

Cheers!

They've updated their cocktail list recently and added a couple of different things to their list of appetizers also.

Their Mojito de Fresa is really amazing, and so is their Pina Colada!

Snackwise, their hummus is still great, but so are the sun dried tomatoes with feta or their nachos! There's even a pizza of the day now, but haven't had the pleasure to try that one.

My wife agree, the Mojito de Fresa was quite an experience, I went for tougher stuff and that was top as well !! We enjoyed the atmosphere and had a pleasant and relaxing time. It also serves as a "waterhole", I can imagine ....
