El Xampanyet is one of those quaint little places in the Borne with a history and a future. The place is always jam-packed, and if you get a table you can count yourself lucky – so best come early!
The story behind the place is also very interesting. The owner used to drive between the vineyards and the stores in Barcelona, delivering bottles of cava. One day, his truck broke down right in front of what now is El Xampanyet, and he decided to just stay there and buy the place.
Now, you can enjoy a glass of cava, or their own xampanyet (which I can highly recommend!), with some of their tapas. As in most places, you can enjoy some tomato bread, or some nice Iberian hams whilst drinking a nice refreshing glass of bubbly…
